Belle of the Bell 2007
- Miss Conception starts off with a few classy numbers
On 1st September 2007 we saw guys glam it up for the title of ‘Belle of the Bell 2007’ in aid of Compton Hospice.
Male punters of The Bell Inn, located on Newport Road, Tong, donned their high heels, dresses and make up to take part in what was a Miss Congeniality style beauty pageant.
The guys had to show off their pins, poise and personality, as well as complete practical tasks such as flower arranging, in front of a packed out pub, to earn themselves valuable points towards winning the title.

After several humiliating hours, the compere for the evening, Miss Conception announced the two winners. Winning on points was Stuart, aka Miss behaving with Pete, aka Miss Informed getting the public vote.
“It has been a fantastic fun evening, and all of the guys have been such sports”, commented Sarah Baker, landlady of The Bell Inn, she added “This is our second event for Compton now, the fundraising support we get from them is second to none, and we hope to continue working with them in the future”.
Sponsorship from ‘Belle of the Bell 2007’ is expected to reach approximately £1800, and Compton Hospice would like to thank Sarah, her team and all of the ‘ladies’ that took part.
