Clickerty click, Go yellow Quick!

- Hospice mascot Sammy with Rocky Dayhar from Mecca Bingo
Mecca in Wednesbury was one of several organisations who went ‘yellow’ in June as part of Compton Hospice’s National Hospice Awareness Campaign.
The bingo hall raised over £325 through selling sunflower badges, holding a collection and donating £5 for every new member that joined on their special ‘Go yellow’ evening.
Punters from Mecca also had a surprise visit from Sammy, the hospice’s new sunflower mascot.

“Go Yellow has become an increasingly popular way for businesses, community groups and members of the public to support the hospice,” said Michelle Price, community fundraiser for the hospice
she added
“This year we were able to market the event to a higher standard than previous years and also offer participants more help to aid their fundraising, such as designing posters, providing promotional items and better raffle prizes. Due the added help we have been able to give, more people have chosen to make ‘Go Yellow’ an annual fundraising event.”
This years ‘Go Yellow’ campaign is expected to raised over £3000 and Compton hospice would like to thanks everybody who has taken part.
