Messing About on the Water!

How better than to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon than messing about on the water.
This is what staff and supporters of Compton Hospice did when they entered The Rotary Club Dragon Boat Racing at Himley Park on 20th May.
Wearing their brand new, bright yellow, 25th Anniversary hospice t-shirts, they were joined by WSP Group, who manned the hospice’s second boat.
- WSP Group paddle into action
After a rather nervous introduction to their dragon boat, the drummers started to beat their timings and the two teams paddled their way through three, qualifying rounds with their best times being recorded.
WSP group were amongst the qualifying eight teams until the last two races when unfortunately they were just pushed out of the paddle offs. Compton Team One were not quite as good and after all of their efforts finally came in last. Well, it was only a bit of fun after all!
