Posties Being Hosties
Every year Rajinder Rana, Bob Rakhra and Charanpal Singh, from Royal Mail’s North West Midlands Mail Centre in Wolverhampton choose to raise funds for Compton Hospice and Westcroft Special School. On 2nd September this year the three posties decided to hold an Asian Evening at The Imperial Palace in Bilston. The evening’s entertainment included a Midha Disco, Bhangra Dancers and full Indian cuisine for all guests.
Money from ticket sales and a raffle draw amounted to £500, with Compton Hospice receiving £400. “It is fantastic that the public choose to raise funds for us, and outstanding when they commit to us year after year.” Commented Michelle Price, Community Fundraiser, (pictured front row, third from left). “We are very lucky to have Mr Rana and his friends support, and this year we will receive a bonus of £400 match giving due to the corporate sponsorship that we have with Royal Mail.”
