The Lions Roaring Success!

The rain could not dampen spirits when cyclists from across the county took to their saddles to raise money for local charities.

As part of Bike Week 2007, The Wolverhampton Lions Club had organised their annual charity bike ride, which took place on Sunday 13th May. Cyclists opted to ride either the 14 or the 22 mile route which both started and finished at The Aldersley Leisure Village.

Two of those riders were Michael Richards and his daughter Hayley, of Merry Hill, Wolverhampton, who had chosen Compton Hospice as their benefiting charity. Mr Richards, a keen cyclist, became a big supporter of the hospice when he sadly lost a neighbour to Breast Cancer, and has already taken part in several events to help raise much needed funds for the Wolverhampton based charity.

Compton Hospice would like to thank Michael and his daughter Hayley for their kind donation of £141.50 raised from the event
