Seventy walkers took part in their 1 mile annual sponsored walk and volunteers manned a Compton table all raising money for the hospice.
Andrew Tomlinson, community walking developer for Walking for Health said
“Compton Hospice is a very worthwhile local charity and we decided that during their capital appeal year we would like to help by nominating them to receive the sponsorship from our event.
A big thank you to volunteer walk leaders, Balbir Bains,, Ramilaben Mistry, Chain Singh, Surinder Chopra, Nirmala patel, Jeevan Kurl, Kalvinder Kaur & Jean Clarke for all their help on the sponsored walk.”
In total the Walking for Health team managed to raise £354 plus another £50 that they opted to buy a brick with.
Compton Hospice would like to thank all at Walking for Health, everyone who took part in the walk and everyone who supported them, well done to all.
