Paul Nicholas supports Compton appeal
West End star Paul Nicholas dropped in to Beatties Wolverhampton recently to lend his support to the store and Compton Hospice.
Paul, who's appearing as Captain Hook at the city's Grand Theatre, agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to promote the partnership between the historic store in Victoria Street and the hospice by helping publicity for a planned charity balloon launch in aid of Compton Hospice, due to take place on Christmas Eve.
Paul commented: “This is a great way of remembering loved ones. Hospices do a wonderful job and it’s been a real pleasure to show my support today.”
Karen Phillips, corporate fundraiser at the hospice says: “It’s brilliant that Paul took time to champion the hospice, and his empathy with the hospice movement was really heartwarming.”
