Annual Golf Day Success

- Mr Ron Middleton presents 1st Prize to Dave Chaggar’s team from Garratts Accountants
On Friday May 12th, 21 teams of Corporate Supporters of Compton Hospice took to the Greens at South Staffordshire Golf Club in Tettenhall. Teams from various sectors of the business community, such as Allied Irish Bank, Redrow Homes (West Midlands), and Torquil Clark took part. A Stableford competition off full handicap was held and the competition was won by Dave Chaggar’s team from Garratts Accountants. Second place went to RT Bearings Ltd of Brierley Hill and third place to Ultimate Plumbing Services of Wolverhampton.
After a pleasant day on the course, all guests were treated to a superb 4 course dinner and prizes were presented by Ron Middleton, Business Director of Compton Hospice.
A raffle and an auction were held during and after dinner and a grand total of £ 7000 was made for the Hospice. A Steve Bull limited edition signed print was purchased by Mr Paul Western, a guest of Allied Irish Bank, and a training flight from RAF Cosford was purchased by Mr Evan Watson, a guest of Garratts Accountants. Thank you to Paul and Evan for pushing up the auction prices for these items!!
The whole day was a great success for everyone and we wish to thank everyone who entered a team, sponsored a hole or donated a prize for the day. We are already looking forward to next year’s Golf Day which we are hoping will be bigger and better than ever!
