Eaton Score Again for Charity

- Eaton’s Graham Bird presents a cheque for £3,000 to Karen Bowyer of Compton Hospice.
The Eaton 2005 Charity Golf Day raised a massive £3,000 for local charity Compton Hospice. Along with Eaton employee teams, sixteen of the companies customers and suppliers attended the successful event, which is now in it’s seventh year.
Graham Bird, Supply Chain Manager of the Eaton Fluid Connectors Division, who helped organise the day along with Daniel Kavanagh and Anne Williams, was pleased with the result. Graham comments : “We would like to thank all of our employees, customers and suppliers for their tremendous support of the Golf Day. We are delighted to present the proceeds to Compton Hospice, who offer much needed services to the local community. The charity is also a popular choice with our staff who regularly take part in fundraising initiatives.”
The donation has been welcomed by Compton Hospice, which needs to raise over £4.7 million each year to maintain its high level of services. Karen Bowyer, Corporate Fundraiser at Compton added : “The Hospice relies heavily on the generosity of the local community. We are enormously grateful to companies such as Eaton, who go to such trouble to organise such large events.”
