Garratts tee off for charity
- ‘John Mills, Senior Partner at Garratts presents the cheque to Karen Bowyer, Corporate Fundraiser at Compton Hospice.
The Golf Day held on 1st July at Shifnal Golf Club proved a great success for Wolverhampton based Garratts Corporate Finance. Seventy of the firms clients attended the Golf Day which culminated in an evening meal in the Clubs restaurant. John Mills, a Senior Manager at Garratts, organized a charity raffle and auction for the benefit of Compton Hospice.
Senior Partner Barry Chaggar said: ‘This is the second year running we have used our Golf Day as an event to raise funds for Compton Hospice and thanks to John Mills and our clients, we are pleased to present a cheque for £1,614 to Karen Bowyer from Compton Hospice. We are delighted to be able to support the Hospice, which does excellent work, and will certainly be continuing our support of Compton Hospice.’
Compton Hospice, based in Wolverhampton for nearly twenty five years, has to raise £4.6 million annually. This is what it costs to maintain the 22-bed ward, the day care centre, the Lymphoedema Clinic, the team of nurses that visit patients in their own homes and the Bereavement Counselling Services.
Karen Bowyer, Corporate Fundraiser for Compton Hospice said: ‘The Hospice relies enormously on the generosity of the people in its community, and it is a real pleasure to have been the chosen charity for Garratts a second year running.’
