Trade show success for Compton Hospice

- (l to r) Sally Woods, Company Fundraising Coordinator at Compton; Rob Marris MP and Karen Bowyer, Corporate Fundraiser for Compton Hospice.
Compton Hospice has bolstered its corporate fundraising efforts by attending the recent Black Country Chambers Trade Show, held at Dunstall Park Racecourse, Wolverhampton. The stand, which was sponsored by David Berriman Estate Agents, informed local business of the benefits of Corporate Partnerships and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Karen Bowyer, who is in charge of corporate partnerships, is aiming to create a support network for local businesses who wish to raise money for Compton, and to have an active involvement with the hospice whilst they are doing this.
“Business partnerships are vital to the Hospice because they help maintain our, and the companies’ profile in the local community and boost levels of staff moral and engagement, as well as being a source of regular income for the Hospice.
“We don’t just want to say thank you over a photo shoot with a big cheque - we want to be actively involved and help businesses in any way we can.”
Sally Woods, also in attendance at the Trade Show, specialises in high profile events in the business sector and Payroll Giving.
“We want to involve companies in our marketing and PR, give them space on our web site, accompany them on their fundraising events - the level of support offered by the corporate team at Compton Hospice depends on individual companies requirements.”
