To apply to become a volunteer
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you can view a list of current vacancies and complete the form from the list below:
You will be invited to visit the hospice and meet the volunteer service manager, Maggie Perry, who can answer any questions you might have and explore how your skills could be best adapted to the hospice services.
If you wish to continue, and if there is a suitable placement available for you, you will then be enroled on the volunteer induction programme and any other training programmes required for the task you want to undertake.
We may also need to run a criminal record check with the police to determine candidates’ suitability to work with patients and their families. The people we work with are facing a difficult time in their lives and we must make sure their vulnerability is not exploited.
