Apply to Volunteer
To apply to become a volunteer
To volunteer at the hospice you must be aged 16 and above or aged 18 to work directly with patients.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, simply download, fill in and return the three forms below, please note there is an extra form if you are wishing to become a bereavement visitor. See here for our address details.
- Volunteer application form 91 KB
- Equal opportunities form 80 KB
- Rehabilitation form 40 KB
- Bereavement supplimentary information form (for bereavement visitors only)
You will be invited to visit the hospice and meet the volunteer service manager, Maggie Perry, who can answer any questions you might have and explore how your skills could be best adapted to the hospice services.
If you wish to continue, and if there is a suitable placement available for you, you will then be invited on a volunteer induction programme and any other training programmes required for the task you want to undertake.
We may also need to run a CRB check to determine candidates’ suitability to work with patients and their families. The people we work with are facing a difficult time in their lives and we must make sure their vulnerability is not exploited.
