Compton awarded £1,000 following Beat the Street initiative

Compton is delighted to have been awarded £1,000 following an initiative which aimed to get Wolverhampton residents moving.
The Beat the Street Wolves challenge was launched by Intelligent Health and Wolverhampton City Council and encouraged people to walk, run and cycle over 196,000 miles between 15th March and 3rd May. If the target was met Compton would receive a generous donation of £1,000.
More than 25,000 people took part in the challenge racing across the city and covering a total of 163,342.5 miles during the game – just short of the 196,000 target. However the kind folk at Intelligent Health and Wolverhampton Council decided they still wanted to donate the money to Compton!
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the initiative and to Intelligent Health and Wolverhampton City Council for their generous donation.
This money will enable us to fund the equivalent of 5 visits
from a Community Nurse Specialist providing care, advice
and support to a patient in their own home.
