Funds march into Compton
Posted on 21 June 2012.
A recently bereaved family have donated over £1000 to Compton Hospice, in memory of Pamela Carey.
Pamela was supported at home during her illness by the Hospice at Home staff, which enabled her family to care for her and be with her as they all wanted.
Following Pamela’s death earlier this year, her family, friends and relatives decided that they would like to support the hospice in recognition of the wonderful care Pamela received.
Pamela’s daughter, Lin Jones explained, “ Mum was a member of the Royal British Legion Club in Wednesfield and was well known and loved by all of the members.
Following her death, everyone wanted to show their support for the hospice and over the last few weeks, we have collected £1,115 to donate to the hospice in her memory.
We know she would be very proud of this and as a family, we feel this helps us to thank the hospice for everything that they did for our Mum.
We would like to thank the club and all the members for their generosity and support.”
