Swindon Golf Club near Wombourne, South Staffs have raised over £1000 for Compton Hospice with their fundraising efforts.
The Club Captain for 2011-2012, Peter Hutton, chose Compton Hospice as his charity to support and explained “I wanted to support a local charity that looks after local people.
Unfortunately, many of us know someone who has had to call on the services of the hospice and we are all really grateful that the hospice is there for everyone.
We are lucky to have such a place and I am delighted that the members of the club have been so generous and we are able to donate £1,314.00. I want to thank everyone for their support for my chosen charity.”
Peter presented the money to Sally Woods. Sally said “We are very grateful to Swindon Golf Club for their support. We rely heavily on our communities so that we can continue to provide our essential services to our patients and their families.”
