Appeal for Volunteers

Could you spare a few hours each week to volunteer at Compton Hospice?
We are currently looking for volunteer receptionists to cover a variety of weekday, evening and weekend duties.
Denise Clemson has been a volunteer receptionist at the hospice since March.
She comments: “My husband was cared for on the ward and at home 2 years ago and I found that the volunteers were so supportive and caring that it made me want to give something back to the hospice.
“I have only been volunteering for a short period of time on the hospice’s main reception but I already enjoy it so much. I love interacting with visitors, patients, staff and volunteers, there’s a really lovely atmosphere here and the flexibility of the role means I can come in for a few hours each week. I would definitely encourage anyone thinking about volunteering to give it a try.”
We are also looking for green fingered volunteers to help take care of our beautiful grounds as well as volunteer drivers, shop volunteers and volunteer manicurists.
