Celebrity Charity Match Raises Money for Hospice

Thousands of people flocked to the Banks’s Stadium in Walsall at the weekend to watch stars from the world of film, TV, music and sport compete against each other in a charity football match.
Celebrities including TV’s Calum Best, singer Simon Webbe and EastEnders’ and Strictly Come Dancing star Jake Wood were just some of the well-known faces to take part in the match on Saturday 13th May raising funds for Compton Hospice and Smile for Joel.
X Factor winner Shayne Ward and glamour model Katie Price took charge of the two sides on Saturday with Shayne managing Compton Wolves and Katie managing the Smiling Saddlers in front of a crowd of over 5,000 people.
Reality TV personality James 'Arg' Argent from The Only Way is Essex, Jimmy Constable from boyband 911 and EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney warmed up the crowd by posing for selfies and having a pre-match kick about with
the rest of the stars before the game started at 3.15pm.
The final whistle blew 6 - 5 to the Smiling Saddlers.
