Kinver shop is a winner at fayre

Our Kinver shop had a winning day at this year's Kinver Country Fayre.
The event, which took place on Sunday 17th June throughout the village of Kinver, is something our shop is proud to support.
This year, they entered the 'Best Dressed Window' competition, themed on 'Pearly Kings & Queens', and were thrilled to be picked as the winners.
Their 'Hook a Frog' and 'Prize every Time Raffle' also went down a storm, raising over £700 at the event for Compton Hospice funds.
Trading manager, Paul Carter, said: "This is an annual fixture in the village with a 25 year history and our Kinver Compton Hospice shop is proud to be a part of it.
"The organisers put on a fantastic event and it's something we prepare for throughout the year.
"We were thrilled to hear we'd won the best dressed window competition, but more than anything we enjoy being a part of such a wonderful village, and a wonderful day."
The event this year had over 90 stalls offering fine food and drink, arts, crafts and gifts, fun and games and lots of entertainment for the children too, including a fair, donkey rides, Punch & Judy shows and farm animals.
In the arena you could enjoy a fun dog show, falconry, medieval battles, dog agility displays and ‘100 years of motorcycling’ with bikes dating back to 1914. There were musicians, dancers, craftspeople at work, and a local ale tent.
Shire horses from the Midlands Heavy Horse Association were stars of the show, leading the parade and meeting the crowds in the meadows.
